Somewhat gratifying

James Fallows has kept up a wordcount that would drive most journalists insane (or at least, me in my former life, had I even tried to generate something like his output), working as a speechwriter for Jimmy Carter, at least four books, and writing dispatches from around the world for The Atlantic. So it shouldn't come as a shock that his Atlantic blog has archives dating back from May, 2008, to December, 0000. Yet, it does. It also comes as a bit of a relief to discover a blank screen when you click on December, 0000 AD, and that he wasn't there to cover the birth of Jesus:
