But you should know that there's only five more days that Osmo Vänskä's searing, chilling reading of Sibelius's The Tempest at the Proms with the Lahti Symphony Orchestra will be available from the BBC. (Yes, you're reading that right: They placed an hour-long piece on the program before intermission. Luv teh proms!) You can listen here. Soprano Helena Juntunen is especially appealing as Ariel, and the scenes Ariel, like a harpy (45:25), in Act III, and The Dogs (57:00), in Act IV, are supremely well-played. The strings of Ariel are entrancingly weightless.
